Common questions
I want to purchase real estate. How much will hiring your law firm cost me?
Our professional fees for handling the entire real estate purchase and transactions are normally 1.5% of the purchase price of property with a set minimum if the consideration is low.
Stamp duty, government filing fees or tax payments are not included in our professional fees.

Should purchase not proceed for any reason, you will be billed at an hourly rate of US $150, for our professional services rendered up to that point.
What government fees must be paid for purchases?
Stamp duty is assessed at 5% or 8% of the consideration of the property (first US $10,000.00 of the consideration is exempt). The Lands Department reserves the right to assess the value of the property higher than what it is actually being sold for and in that case you, the Purchaser, may be required to pay additional stamp duty.
